Tree of Lights Festival

The Tree of Lights Festival lighting ceremony will take place on December 3rd, 6:00 PM, 2009.

The annual Tree of Lights Festival at Riverview Health Centre creates a magical, multi-coloured atmosphere during the holiday season for the Centre’s patients, residents, staff, visitors and the surrounding community. Toy soldiers, bells, poinsettias, angels and a 30-foot high tree glitter during snowy December nights to warm the hearts of everyone.

Riverview’s light display is so spectacular that it has become a regular stop on the City of Winnipeg Seasonal Lights Bus Tours. The lights stay on until February, helping people in the Centre and in the community to celebrate the season and reminisce about past holiday times.

Funds raised support many of the activities of the Centre’s recreational facilitators as they strive to enhance programming to bring satisfaction and fun into the lives of Riverview’s residents and patients.
